Any personnel officer is required to use the approved production calendar for 2021 with holidays and days off. After all, it is on the basis of this calendar that the standard working time for the next year is determined. Also, the Russian production calendar for 2021 with weekends and holidays will allow you to distribute working days and keep timesheets. In this article you can view and download the production calendar for 2021 for a five-day and six-day working week.

General information about the production calendar

There are a total of 365 calendar days in 2021. However, there are quite a few holidays in Russia. They also include weekends (with a six-day work week - Sunday). How not to get confused and correctly distribute working time norms during the “six-day work week”? Moreover, if we are talking about accounting, then working days, holidays and weekends must be taken into account when calculating vacation pay, travel allowances and when preparing reports. For this purpose, the production calendar for 2021 is being formed with a six-day working week.

The last working week of the outgoing year will be six days

“The option of a long working week was chosen in order not to interrupt the New Year holidays.” The day off from Saturday, December 29, has been moved to Monday, December 31,” Interfax quotes the words of Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment Ivan Shklovets.

The holiday break will last from December 30 to January 8. The first working day will be Wednesday, January 9th. Russians are not in danger of overwork, since the working week will last only three days.

That is, December 31, 2021 (Monday):

  • day off (for a five-day week);
  • working day (for six days).

What does the Labor Code of the Russian Federation say about non-working days?

Non-working holidays in the Russian Federation are:

  • January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 – New Year;
  • January 7 – Christmas;
  • February 23 – Defender of the Fatherland Day;
  • March 8 – International Women's Day;
  • May 1 – Spring and Labor Day;
  • May 9 – Victory Day;
  • June 12 – Russia Day;
  • November 4 is National Unity Day.

This list of non-working holidays is fixed and does not change from year to year. It is enshrined in Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

Holiday traditions

Today, this holiday symbolizes the unity of the people, thanks to which it became possible to defeat the Polish invaders of Russian power. This holiday provides an opportunity not only to remember one of the great victories, but also reminds Russians that Russia is a multinational country, and only through joint efforts can they defeat the enemy. To this day, lush and grandiose patriotic celebrations take place in all cities of the Russian Federation. Folk festivals include fun entertainment programs, concerts and fireworks.

What transfers to 2021 do not apply to the six-day period?

Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation provides that the transfer of days off is carried out for the purpose of rational planning of working time in organizations and taking into account the interests of various categories of citizens of the Russian Federation in creating conditions for proper rest. For these purposes, Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 14, 2021 No. 1250 “On the transfer of weekends in 2021” provides for the following shift of weekends:

Thus, the following weekends have been postponed to 2021:

  • Saturday 6 January to Friday 9 March;
  • Sunday 7 January to Wednesday 2 May.
  • Also, to optimize rest time, weekends have been swapped with working days (Saturdays will be working days, and Mondays will be days off):
  • Saturday 28 April to Monday 30 April;
  • Saturday 9 June to Monday 11 June;
  • Saturday 29 December to Monday 31 December.

One holiday - May 9, 2021, in honor of Victory Day, will have a rest during the week.

In a six-day work week, Saturdays are not days off, which means that these transfers are not provided for a six-day work week.

For those working on a six-day week, March 9, April 30, June 11 and December 31, 2021 will remain working days, since the transfer of weekends to these dates is planned from Saturdays that coincide with non-working holidays, and for the “six-day week” Saturday is not a day off.

“New Year holidays” for those working on a “six-day week” will last from January 1 to January 8, 2021.

Due to the postponement of January 7 to May 2, workers with a six-day working week in 2021 will have two consecutive days off for the May holidays - May 1-2.

Shortened working days with a reduction in working hours by one hour in 2021 for six-day workers will be February 22, March 7, April 30, May 8, June 11, November 3, December 31.

A few more words about the calendar

What data can be seen on the production calendar

PC is an unofficial document; its introduction and use is not regulated by law. However, in essence, PC is a reflection of some articles of laws on a regular calendar.

In addition to, in fact, the usual calendar with notes on working, weekends and holidays (official and national) days, the PC includes:

  • tables with calculated working/non-working time standards by month and quarter,
  • numerical information about the number of working hours and days off in each reporting period (from month to year),
  • information about postponing holidays and reducing the length of the working day before them.

Standard working hours for a six-day week

In accordance with Article 100 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, a number of organizations and enterprises establish a six-day working week with one day off for their employees. The general day off is Sunday (Article 111 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

The normal working hours for a six-day working week, as well as for a five-day one, cannot exceed 40 hours per week (Article 91 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

For a six-day working week in accordance with the Procedure, approved. By Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia dated August 13, 2009 N 588n, the standard working time is also calculated according to the calculated schedule of a five-day work week with two days off on Saturday and Sunday, based on the duration of daily work (shift).

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the duration of the working day or shift immediately preceding a non-working holiday is reduced by one hour. With a 6-day working week on the eve of the weekend, the duration of work cannot exceed 5 hours (part three of Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

The standard working time calculated in the specified order applies to all work and rest regimes.

Regional holidays

Federal holidays and non-working days included in Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation do not limit the list of Russian holidays.

Regional authorities, by virtue of the provisions of Article 6 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, have the right to independently establish regional holidays. The status of weekends can also be assigned to religious memorial dates (Clause 7, Article 4 of the Federal Law “On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Associations” No. 125-FZ).

Some regions of the Russian Federation do not use this right, and some have their own work schedule.

The production calendar of Russia by region that took advantage of this right looks like this:

  • Tatarstan celebrates the Day of the Formation of the Republic on August 30, and the Constitution Day of the Republic on November 6. The religious Muslim date of Eid al-Adha is also celebrated here, which is determined by the lunar calendar and falls on different days every year. In 2018 it is August 21st.
  • Bashkortostan celebrates the Muslim holidays of Eid al-Adha (June 15 in 2018) and Kurban Bayram, as well as Republic Day, which falls annually on October 11.
  • Crimea celebrates the religious holidays of the Orthodox (Easter and Trinity) and Muslims (Eid al-Adha and Kurban Bayram), as well as March 18 - the Day of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.

List of days off in the Republic of Bashkortostan

On the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan there are the following national holidays, which are days off for workers:

  • New Year holidays . The number of days off during this period varies each year. A special feature of the 2021 production calendar is that the New Year holidays will begin on the last Saturday of the outgoing year 2021, December 30. During the New Year's holiday, on January 7th, Orthodox Christmas is celebrated. The weekend ends on January 8th. During these holidays, two transfers will occur: from January 6 (Saturday), the day off is transferred to March 9, and from January 7 (Sunday) to May 2. The first working day of the new year 2021 will be January 9, Tuesday.
  • Defender of the Fatherland Day . The holiday falls on Friday, which allows you to avoid moving holidays anywhere. Workers rest for three days in a row: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition, February 22 is a shortened working day, which leads to changes in payroll calculations.
  • International Women's Day . All Women's Day falls on Thursday, allowing workers to have four days off in a row: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The day preceding March 8th is also shortened.
  • Spring and Labor Day . The holiday falls on Tuesday. In modern Russia, May Day has ceased to be a political holiday, as it was in the time of Lenin, but it is celebrated as a day off in modern times. Before this, workers will have a six-day working week: from Monday to Saturday, inclusive. The Saturday day off will be moved to Monday. Thus, there are three days off in a row: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
  • Victory Day . The country's main holiday is celebrated on Wednesday, May 9. The previous working day, May 8, is a short working day.
  • Russia Day . The celebration falls on June 12, Tuesday. This day is considered a day off, and on the day preceding it the working class will have to work a short shift.
  • Eid al Adha . This day is one of the most important days in the Islamic calendar. The holiday is celebrated on the first day of the month of Shawwal, when the fast following the month of Ramadan ends. In 2021, this day falls on June 15 , three days after Russia Day. This day is a day off in the Republic of Bashkortostan and other republics. Thus, this week residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan will rest for four days at once: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Eid al-Adha . A holiday that is celebrated 70 days after Eid al-Adha. In 2021, the ritual of sacrifice, when Muslims will have to choose a sacrifice: a ram, a camel or a cow, will take place on August 21 , Tuesday. This day is considered an official holiday in the Republic of Bashkortostan and a number of other republics.
  • Sovereignty Day of the Republic of Bashkortostan . The celebration falls on Thursday, October 11th . On the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan, this day is considered an official holiday.
  • National Unity Day . The celebration falls on Sunday, which leads to the transfer of the day off to Monday of the following week. Thus, citizens receive three consecutive days off: Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The main differences between the 2021 and 2018 production calendars

The main differences between the 2021 calendar and 2021 are the dates of Muslim religious holidays. In 2021, the last day of the Holy Month of Ramadan was June 25, and Eid al-Fitr was celebrated on June 26. In 2021, these dates have moved earlier: the holy month of Ramadan will end on June 14, and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 15.

The situation is similar with another Muslim holiday, which is called Kurban Bayram. In 2017, the celebration took place on September 1, and in 2021 this holiday will be celebrated on August 21.

The dates and postponements of the New Year holidays described above have also changed. In total, residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2021 will work 244 working days out of 365 per year.

The remaining 121 days are official holidays.

For residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan working a 40-hour work week, the annual output will be 1943 hours; for those who work 36 hours a week – 1747.8 hours; for those whose production calendar provides for 24 working hours per week - 1162.2 working hours per year.
