What is an extract from the Pension Fund of Russia

An extract from the Pension Fund is a document (SZI-6) that confirms a citizen’s rights to pension payments and also contains up-to-date information about the ILS.

Through MFC and Sberbank

However, if the department of the fund itself processes such requests instantly, then the MFC will be forced to demand information from the Pension Fund. Therefore, the period for producing a certificate in this way is 5 working days.
In some MFCs, an Online certificate issuance service is available, but you need to check with the center staff about its availability. Not everywhere it is technically possible to issue a certificate on the same day.

Features of obtaining a certificate of pension amount for foreigners
To obtain a certificate, residents of other states receiving a Russian pension should contact the Department for Pensions for Persons Living Abroad of the administrative district that pays the pension in person or in writing. Submission of documents is allowed through a proxy. To translate a document into a foreign language, you will need:
- affix an apostille by paying the appropriate fee;
- perform an accredited translation;
- have the translation certified by the consulate.
A certificate of pension amount can be obtained from one of three institutions (PF, MFC, Sberbank) or via the Internet. The issuance period ranges from 1 to 5 working days.
Documents for issue

Digital social card from 2021 instead of a pension certificate
Since 2021, the Pension Fund of Russia has released a new system - a digital social card. The new pensioner certificate has been developed for a mobile application. It contains information about the amount of savings, assigned benefits and other information that can be obtained after reading a QR code unique for each owner of the program.
An agreement was signed between Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Karusel - well-known Russian stores - to provide discounts for pensioners using a digital pension card. Negotiations are also ongoing between the Pension Fund and the Russian Railways company.
Where can I get information about my income?
Although the legislation defines the retirement age, despite this, some employees retire early, that is, they enjoy preferential service.
A certificate containing information on average income is requested from the general accounting department of the organizational structure. Certificate instead of ID
From January 1, 2015, when making pension contributions, older people will receive a certificate indicating general data on the pension payments of a particular person.
Pensioners who received a certificate before the introduction of the new bill are not required to submit this document to the Pension Fund of Russia to receive a certificate!
With the help of the received certificate, older people can use preferential rates that apply to different categories of citizens of retirement age.
The certificate contains data such as: full name of the pensioner; SNILS; date of birth of the pensioner; name of the PFR unit; Pension Fund address; date of issue of the certificate; extract number; type of pension contributions; validity period of the certificate; monthly pension amount; pensioner's case number. The main reason for stopping the issuance of a certificate is the uselessness and unnecessary expenses of the state for issuing this document.
Plus the certificate - the amount of the pension is indicated based on the latest data, while in the book the amount of payments is not rewritten.
The downside of the introduced reform is that a pensioner often has to change this document to receive benefits.
Information on pension accruals through State Services
You can check your pension savings through State Services in two ways:

What is the document?
An extract from the Pension Fund contains all the necessary data that may be of interest to a working citizen. Information about the status of the individual personal account of the insured person consists of several sections:
- Full name of the account owner, information about the IPC (individual pension coefficient), choice of destination 6% of mandatory contributions - to the NPF or Pension Fund.
- Information on the value of the individual pension coefficient and its components.
- Pension rights until 2015.
- Information about pension savings.
In the first section, data about the account owner includes the payer’s IPC value. The size of the coefficient determines the size of the pension in the future. The length of service that is taken into account for the purpose of a state pension is also indicated here.
Why has the certificate been canceled now?
Pension certificates of the established form, mentioned above, are not currently issued. Their issuance ceased in 2015. This means that all those citizens who retired after the specified year do not receive a pension certificate. However, documents that were issued before 2015 have not been canceled and have the same legal force.
Important! If the certificate has become unusable or has been lost, then duplicates will also not be issued.
The official reason why the issuance of the documents in question was stopped is that the scope of application of the pension certificate is very limited and insignificant, that is, simply put, it is not particularly needed, since all the necessary information about the pensioner is contained in modern electronic databases.
At the same time, it is not hidden that this measure made it possible to reduce budget expenses associated with the production of these forms, which is directly related to the constant increase in the number of people who receive pension payments.
According to officials, there are no plans to resume issuing pension certificates in the previous form in the near future.

As a rule, when assigning a pension, there are no problems with establishing length of service, since the work record book is quite sufficient for this. However, in a number of cases, in order to justify your right, you have to confirm it, including in court.
