Statistics of Russia and the world - information and indicators

The Rosstat website in Russia is an official resource where this Federal State Statistics Service posts information about its activities and its products. To access it, all you need is an appropriate device and the Internet on it.

This information is considered the most reliable, since it is Rosstat data that is provided here.

Statistical indicators

The figures of state statistics of the Russian Federation on the website are official. They were not invented or placed on dubious sources, all information is carefully double-checked and there are people responsible for it.

The main page contains a lot of useful information about the following indicators:

  • official statistics on various topics;
  • interactive services;
  • territorial bodies of the Federal State Statistics Service;
  • population-related research;
  • tools, methods and references;
  • informers, questionnaires.

The official website of Rosstat is a place where users find important and reliable information and download tables without fear of introducing viruses into their devices. The information regularly posted on these pages can be useful to both entrepreneurs and scientists or government officials. It is approached for different purposes, since it is difficult to find data presented more accurately and clearly.

Information

The resource offers information of a different nature, but it is not intended to entertain or attract readers. The structure of Rosstat bodies is outlined here, there is information about the leaders, their biographical details and telephone numbers for scheduling a personal meeting or sending a fax.

Experts also post various latest statistics, calculations and comparisons.

Statistical reporting of small enterprises

The procedure for submitting statistical reporting by small and medium-sized businesses has some peculiarities (Part 4 of Article 8 of the Law of November 29, 2007 No. 282-FZ).

Continuous statistical observations regarding their activities are carried out once every five years (Part 2 of Article 5 of the Law of July 24, 2007 No. 209-FZ).

Selective statistical observations are carried out:

  • monthly and (or) quarterly – in relation to small and medium-sized enterprises;
  • annually for micro-enterprises.

The list of small and medium-sized businesses subject to selective statistical observation is determined annually by Rosstat. Only organizations and entrepreneurs that are included in this list should submit statistical reports as part of sample observation.

This procedure follows from the provisions of Part 3 of Article 5 of the Law of July 24, 2007 No. 209-FZ and paragraph 2 of the Rules approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of February 16, 2008 No. 79.

Sections

When entering the State Statistics website, the user sees structured information; at the top of the screen there is a horizontal panel with sections. Each of them is signed, and many have a drop-down list for convenience - no need to click again.

Just hover over the desired sub-item and select it once to go.

About Rosstat

This is the first section after the Main page, it describes the advantages of this executive body. The header contains information that the reliability of the resource has been confirmed by international expertise, which becomes convincing evidence.

The structure is also clarified here: state statistics is a tool for solving ongoing issues; it includes the Central Office at the Federal level, plus territorial bodies of Rosstat located throughout the country.

News

This section contains news feeds on current topics. For example, about the volume of production of petroleum products: how much they cost for the consumer in July 2021. Topics about the socio-economic situation in Russia during the first half of this year are touched upon.

To improve the news page, the developers have added additional Announcements and Official Events to it. It is relevant and convenient when you can quickly find this kind of information. Photo and video reports from various official events are also posted here.

The item “All-Russian and departmental Classifiers” is useful for individual entrepreneurs and organizations with a legal entity, since these companies need to have access to information about codes in different Classifiers. The numbers from there will help you quickly fill out the necessary paperwork or submit an application with up-to-date data.

Here is a list:

  • “Competitions”, which outlines recent events, as well as posted notices of competitions in electronic format;
  • About auctions – lists of current and completed purchases;

A separate section contains the entire package of media materials, which includes details of briefings or interviews with Rosstat employees. The next paragraph contains information about the body’s personal press service, which states:

The media department plays a special role in this structure.

How to learn about reports: step-by-step instructions

This is what an individual entrepreneur or a representative of an organization needs to do to use the service developed by Rosstat.

Step 1. To find out about reports to statistics on TIN in 2021, go to the Rosstat service in the section “Obtaining data on statistics codes and list of forms.”

Step 2. Enter one of the parameters requested by the system - OKPO, INN or OGRN/OGRIP.

For example, let’s take individual entrepreneur Sergeev S.S. We enter his TIN into the table. When we click the “Get” button, a check of reporting to Rosstat is launched using the TIN of a specific respondent. As a result, we receive only those forms that the specified individual entrepreneur submits to Rosstat (the list of statistical forms is located at the bottom of the page).

If the individual entrepreneur does not submit anything to Rosstat, the following results will appear:

In a similar way, they look for the reporting of a legal entity in statistics by TIN in the Rosstat service. For example, let's take the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. This budgetary cultural institution must report on 10 different forms. Their list is presented in the search results of the statistical reporting system.

If an organization has branches or separate divisions, this must be taken into account and checked which statistical reports to submit for each OP or branch.

Step 3. We recommend that both organizations and individual entrepreneurs save a list of mandatory reports and schedule the dates for their submission to Rosstat. This can be done, among other things, using our “Accountant Calendar” service. When issuing results, the dates for submitting the forms, the reporting period, and additional information are indicated. It is possible to download the current form.

IMPORTANT!

Information from the service is available to both registered and unregistered users. But if you register, you will be able to not only find out from the TIN in Rosstat which reports to submit to statistics in 2021, but also send online reports to Rosstat, and also receive notifications about changes in the personal reporting list.

Let us remind you that now respondents choose independently whether to submit reports to Rosstat on paper or electronically. But we recommend doing this online, since practice shows that due to the built-in verification mechanisms, fewer errors are included in the reporting. It is possible that already in 2021 all statistical reporting will become electronic: the bill with amendments has already been approved in the first reading by deputies.

Magazine

The official website of Rosstat publishes its own magazine, anyone can subscribe to it. There is general information about it in the first paragraph of the section, then there is a list of members of the editorial board and a description of the contents of the product.

Below in the "subscription" there are phone numbers and an address where users can register a subscription. And those who are the authors of the magazine’s articles were given a separate section with thematic information.

Registration

To register on the website of state statistics of the Russian Federation, you need to click on the “login” button at the top of the screen, closer to the right edge. A window will appear with the word “register” in the lower corner - click on it. The system will ask you to go through the authorization procedure:

  • Enter Last Name, First Name, Patronymic;
  • Current email address;
  • Create a password and repeat it in the next cell;
  • Review the confirmation code and enter.

Then you just have to click on the “register” button.

Entrance

To log in, you only need a login and password. If the secret combination is too difficult to remember, you can click “forgot your password?” and act on step-by-step system requests.

So, the official website of Rosstat is a resource for obtaining a large layer of information regarding statistics. This means that you can receive both a notification about codes in the Classifications of Organizations/Individual Entrepreneurs and get acquainted with statistics on the GDP of the Russian Federation. A wide range of information and a simple interface make the site a convenient way to search for data and use it as an assistant when you need to find useful information.

Who needs to report to Rosstat

Rosstat notes that organizations (except for small businesses) of all forms of ownership, employing more than 5 people, as well as branches, representative offices and divisions of foreign companies operating in the Russian Federation, will need to report.

The study will be conducted according to Form N 1-T (prof), approved by Rosstat order No. 325 dated 07/05/16. It is planned that organizations required to report will receive notifications of the need to participate in the survey. But if there was no such notification, in order to avoid errors and fines, entrepreneurs are asked to independently check whether they must submit reports. The list of all organizations from which statistical data is expected will appear on October 25 on the website statreg.gsk.ru.
